Drowning Prevention

The DP Subcommittee seeks to understand the broader landscape of drowning prevention in Ohio, including unintentional drowning rates and existing water safety initiatives. In our first year, we are focused on strengthening members’ knowledge of water safety, increasing public awareness, and identifying policy gaps at multiple levels to drive targeted improvements. By bringing together diverse voices, we aim to create a collaborative network for long-term change in drowning prevention in Ohio.

Drowning Prevention Subcommittee meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November 1 p.m.
