Policy & sustainability subcommittee

Inform Ohioans about the risk factors, prevalence, consequences, and costs associated with falls and fall-related injuries. Foster systems change by empowering healthcare and service providers to implement evidence-based and best practices.

Goals

  • Maintain & Enhance OOAFPC Membership
  • Provide ongoing support for the subcommittee and workgroups
  • Assist in the development, implementation, & evaluation of policy review and benefit management for Older Adults.

What are we working on?

The subcommittee has three workgroups that are working on:

Activity 1 - identify gaps in insurance coverage regarding fall prevention coverage.

Activity 4 - develop a distribution plan for a proposed cost-benefit analysis document for balance & mobility programs.

Activity 5 - develop a promotional flyer that can be used as a template for agencies promoting balance & mobility programs.
